Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton ‘utterly heartbroken’ by Max Turner ‘betrayal

EXCLUSIVE: Lauren Bolton left Weatherfield at the start of the year to live with her mum but has recently returned to the cobbles.

Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) has been left heartbroken as she learned Max Turner (Paddy Bever) has moved on.

Speaking to Express.co.uk about Lauren’s return, actress Cait Fitton confessed how she feels to know Max is seeing someone else.

She said: “When she sees Max with this new girl, she’s instantly hurt.

“She’s shocked and feels betrayed, all feelings that are completely relevant to this situation.

“But, I think because she puts this front on of regressing her feelings constantly, I think the more she leaves it the more she’s just going to explode.”

Lauren first became involved with Max when she was used to groom him into Griff Reynolds’ (Michael Condron) gang to spread racial hatred.

Although when they learnt the thug was planning to blow up the cobbles, they ruined his plans.

Fearing Griff would come after her for stopping the bomb from going off, Lauren fled to live with her mum as Max stayed behind.

However, in recent scenes, viewers of the ITV soap have seen Max move on with Bec (Luana Santos).

When Lauren made her return this week, she spotted her ex with his new girlfriend sharing a kiss, leaving her devastated.

The soap star confessed that although Lauren wants Max to be happy, it’s going to be hard for her to accept that the happiness won’t be due to her.

In terms of the character’s feelings towards Bec, Cait admits there’s a mixture of emotions.

She added: “I do feel like the feelings towards Bec aren’t through hatred or spite. It’s just through heartbreak.

“She’s utterly heartbroken, Max was her last resort because she’s come back and her whole world has just fallen apart.

“Everything she’s feeling is completely relevant but when things get too much we automatically explode and take it out on people.

“But, I don’t think for one second it’s in any type of hatred towards Bec 100 percent.”

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
